National COVID-19 Chest Imaging Database (NCCID)

NHSX are are service from NHS England that are leading the strategy to digitise the NHS. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they wanted to accelerate the adoption of technologies that may prove effective in supporting COVID-19 care pathways. The decision to form a collective effort has been driven by the motivation to consolidate individual data collection activities that are happening across the country into a single Imaging Database. Oxford University Hospitals Trust contributes to this database through our research unit. We collect pseudonymised information from patients who have been in the care of the OUH throughout the pandemic. A large number of healthcare institutes throughout the UK are contributing to NCCID, with the hope that it will enable the best care for patients hospitalised with a severe infection.
